Description
This is a completely renovated old stone house about 300 years old in the historical centre of Vizinada in Istria, which is nevertheless quiet. It measures around 290m² on three floors and can accommodate two acquainted families with children or groups of a maximum of twelve people.
The ground floor provides direct access to the partially roofed terrace with a big table and comfortable wicker chairs. The garden and swimming pool (saltwater, with an allergy-friendly electrolysis cleaning system) are available for all holiday guests. Sun loungers, seating furniture and parasols are provided. A grill is also available.
There are four bedrooms of different sizes, each with a double bed (180 x 200cm or 160 x 200cm) and two further supplementary beds and two sofa beds. The rooms are individually and atmospherically designed and on the first floor they even have a balcony or loggia. There is a big bathroom on the first floor (shower, bath, WC), a shower room with a WC on the attic floor (with a lovely view over the landscape). Bed linen and hand towels are provided. Please bring bath towels with you. A travel cot and folding mattresses for small children can be provided on request. The ground floor has a spacious 70m² living and dining room (brick floors, original stone walls, plenty of wood), as well as a kitchen and an artistically designed WC. The central fireplace oven provides a pleasant atmosphere, for example on cooler days. As the hosts themselves like to spend their holiday in the house, they have ensured that the furnishing is comfortable and homely. They have therefore thought of practically everything, in the kitchen and as regards everyday items. You can therefore feel at home.
It is easy to get to the seaside. In the direction of Porec you go about 12km directly to Materada, a suburb of Porec, where you can find a beach, a slide and restaurants. There are other beaches just a few kilometres away, which are all well-kept and mostly have showers and changing cubicles. Our favourite beach is on the Lanterna peninsula, slightly to the north of the little village of Tar, where you can also go horse riding, drive a quad or go-kart. Hotel Diamant in the south of Porec, very close to Plava Laguna, has a fitness studio, massage and wellness treatments and a sauna. Those who would like to enjoy the spa water of Istarske Toplice can go along the Mirna in the direction of Buje. There you can also find an imposing climbing cliff. An interesting jump-off point for paragliders has been created near Buja. You can go parachuting near Vrsar, about 30km from Vizinada, or explore caves in the Baredine grotto, about 8km from Vizinada. The leisure paradise “Aquapark Istralandia” (in the direction of Novigrad) with its enormous choice of water slides will no doubt be a highlight on your holiday.
