The area around Øer is a cozy and popular holiday destination close to the forest and the beach. The beach is characterized by shallow water and sandy shores, although certain areas may have a mix of stones and sand. For mountain biking enthusiasts, there is a 13 km track in the area, divided into various difficulty levels. From the house, it's about a 10-minute drive to the harbor in Ebeltoft, where you'll find the Glass Museum, a leading institution in modern glass art. On the harbor, there are also several good eateries, and you always have the opportunity to buy freshly caught fish. A visit to the frigate Jylland is also recommended. In Ebeltoft's charming cobblestone streets, you'll find many exciting shops with, among other things, crafts, as well as small cozy cafes. Here, you'll also find the city's most visited attraction, The Old Town Hall, where people come from near and far to get married. From the house, there is about an hour's drive to both the Kattegat Centre in Grenaa and Northern Europe's largest amusement park, Djurs Sommerland.
