The area

Kerteminde Sommerby is the holiday home area of Kerteminde. The holiday homes are located close to the sandy beach Nordstranden. Kerteminde´s old town center is only 1,5 kilometers from the holiday home. You can walk along the boardwalk into the city, enjoy the atmosphere at the new Renaissance harbor, shop in cozy shops and dine on one of the many restaurants and cafes. Kerteminde has an authentic, old fishing harbor. Here you can eat delicious fish dishes in the open at Boris Fiskehus, followed by a dip at the lovely beach Sydstranden. Take the whole family to the Fjord&Bælt, a research center with guinea pigs, seals and underwater tunnel. Visit Johannes Larsens Museum with the painter`s old house and a modern art building. Just outside Kerteminde is the Viking Museum Ladby, where you can participate in exciting Viking activities during the summer.

When you're on vacation in Kerteminde Sommerby, you are close to the northern beach, which is among the best in Funen, and Kerteminde's charming city center. Kerteminde is a fantastic holiday town with a delightful and cozy atmosphere. The town is an old fishing village, which you can clearly sense as you walk around the narrow streets with colorful, old fisherman's houses. The old fishing harbor is still active. If you get up early, you can see the blue fishing boats coming in with the day's catch. At the end of the fishing harbor, you can enjoy fish dishes at Boris Fiskehus, where all serving takes place outdoors. Take the whole family to Fjord & Bælt, where you can see porpoises and seals. Visit the Johannes Larsen Museum with the painter's home and studio, and enjoy a game of mini-golf with a view of the beach. Just outside the town, you'll find the Ladby Viking Museum, where you can participate in exciting Viking activities during the summer. If you're into golf, you can buy access to Northern Europe's most beautiful golf course, Great Northern. The course is spectacular, and the surroundings are truly unique. Also, visit the Great Northern Spa and pamper yourself for a few hours.
