Out in the world, Mors is first and foremost known for its huge jetty slopes, which can be found at Nordmors. The best known is Hanklit (61 m). Here you mustn't cheat yourself for a trip to the top and enjoy the view over Thisted widening and over the hilly landscape of the island. Close to Hanklit is the island's highest point, Salgjerhøj (89 m). Here you get a clear sense of the varied and distinctive nature found on Mors. Ejerslev Harbor is located on the north-eastern side of the island and after an extensive renovation, the harbor has become a natural meeting place for the locals. A nice walking route has been laid out around the lagoon and the cafe at the harbor is open during the season.
It is also at Nordmors that you will find the Fossil and Molermuseet which tells 55 million years of history, through the many finds that have been made in the pier at Mors. The Skarregaard Agricultural Museum is located in an incredibly scenic area and there is also a large, beautiful nature playground here.
In Nykøbing you will find the local history museum Dueholm Kloster, which tells the story of the Morsing residents. There are also ongoing special exhibitions here. It is also in Nykøbing that you will find the Danish Foundry Museum with the old Morsø stoves and stoves.
South of the city lies the scenic Legind Bjerge area with marked hiking trails and mountain bike tracks. Here you will also find Jesperhus Holiday Park with experiences for the whole family.
