Cosy holiday home on the river Le Lignon

House:
On the banks of a small river, in the Cévennes Ardéchoises regional park, you'll find this holiday home. Carefully restored with exposed stone and wood, it nestles in its leafy garden in La Souche, a small commune 21km from Aubenas and 29km from Langogne. The original features have been preserved: the living room has a large wood-burning stove, and a steep staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find a double bedroom and a mezzanine equipped with a single bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is also on this floor. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the covered terrace, the wooded garden and the barbecue. You'll also have secure, stone-walled access to the little river Le Lignon, which runs alongside the house. Just 750m away, the La Souche lake is open all year round (dogs are not allowed), with a swimming area open from 15 June to 15 September, a multi-sports pitch, a shaded children's play area, a boules pitch and, nearby, a grocery shop and a bar-restaurant. The village of La Souche, dominated by Mont Aigu, which offers hikers an unrivalled 360° panorama, is a paradise for lovers of the great outdoors. There are plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area: Mont Gerbier-des-Joncs, at 1551 metres, the source of the Loire, the spa town of Vals-les-Bains (19 km), Vallon-Pont-d'Arc and the Grotte Chauvet... On Saturday mornings, take a stroll and enjoy the local gastronomy at the market in Aubenas (21 km), and on Sunday mornings in Vals-les-Bains. For all those who dream of a holiday with their feet in the water, this beautiful house in the Ardèche is the place to be!
