This two-storey house is located in the historic Razès county between Toulouse and Perpignan; in the small, quiet village Peyrefitte-du-Razès (Aude), 42 kms SW of Carcassonne airport (Ryanair), in the heart of the beautiful, enchanting Cathar country, including famous castle ruins like Rennes-le-Chateau and Montségur. The nearest market towns are medieval Mirepoix, and Limoux. Nearby Lac Montbel for swimming, sailing, canoeing etc. The Mediterranean is only 1½ hours away. Wonderful countryside for cycling, hiking, picnics and painting. Environmental science maps show that this corner of France has the cleanest air in Europe. The other large bedroom also has two windows facing the garden as well as a wardrobe. These two and a third smaller bedroom with one window have double beds. A fourth bedroom is furnished with two single beds. The two smaller rooms face a quiet village street. A mobile baby cot is available. The sofa in the sitting room downstairs is convertible into a comfortable double bed, useful if you have guests staying over. There is no Wi-Fi connection in the house, but there is good internet reception from the telephone mast located just above the village.
