Saint Martin des Entrées is a small commune in the heart of the Bessin, very close to the town of Bayeux, famous for its cathedral, its porcelain and lace museums and its very well preserved tapestries. Along the River Aure, you can follow in the footsteps of the craftsmen who helped Bayeux to prosper in the Middle Ages. A wonderful market is held here on Wednesdays and Saturdays. In just a few minutes by car or even by bike, you can reach the coast with its charming seaside resorts, small harbours and world-famous landing beaches, including Arromanches les Bains. A day trip to the world-famous monastery mountain of Mont St Michel is also not to be missed.
