Description
Volkmarsen is 9km from Bad Arolsen. The Hörle area is 6km from the centre of Volkmarsen, right by the edge of a forest on a cul-de-sac.
The balcony outside provides garden furniture with a parasol and sun chairs. There is a free private parking space as well as a payable garage. The site is partially open and partially fenced. Haus Eichhölzchen lies at 300 metres above sea level. There are two access roads, one of which takes you conveniently right to the house, usually gritted in winter.
The inviting, comfortable, friendly apartment measures 70m² and is equipped with an LCD TV (cable channels), a stereo system and a terrace facing south-west, which cannot be looked into, so you can sunbathe undisturbed or listen to the twittering of birds. The living room features Chinese furniture. There is a fully-equipped kitchen-diner with a dishwasher, oven and fridge with freezer. You can watch TV from the comfortable double bed or from the armchairs in the bedroom, with antique soft wood furniture. There is also a single bedroom with a little library and an antique English library armchair. The bathroom with a whirlpool invites you to relax, along with a shower and a bidet. A bathrobe can be used free of charge for stays of at least ten days.
The northern Waldecker Land offers pure nature and culture to suit all tastes. You can enjoy activities, culture or simply relax nearby. Volkmarsen has a state recognised healing fountain, the Sauerbrunnen. You can enjoy forests, fields and peace and quiet in the mountain village of Hörle, as well as wellness and fitness. It is 6km to a supermarket, 2.5km to restaurants, 6km to the Volkmarsen train station, 6km to the outdoor pool, 10km to the indoor pool, 10km to a swimming bay, 12km to a golf course, 6km to tennis, 3km to riding stables. Note that a car is recommended.
The Wilhelmshöhe mountain park has been a UNESCO world cultural heritage site since 2013 and has a landscaped garden from the year 1696, with famous water feature cascades, the Wilhelmshöhe Castle and the Hercules Memorial. The Sababurg animal park in Hofgeismar is one of the oldest zoological establishments in Europe, with over 900 animals and 80 different species.
