Comfortable holiday apartments with a beautiful outdoor area right by the Moselle
This is an old vintner house from the year 1924, which as extensively renovated in 2017 and converted into two holiday apartments with a terrace, a little park and a parking space. It is in a tranquil wine-growing village right by the Moselle. Bruttig-Fankel has its own boat jetty and is surrounded by vineyards, centrally located between Koblenz and Trier, not far from Cochem. The area boasts beautiful hiking trails, typical Moselle cycling routes and picturesque places of interest.
A 130m² garden and terrace awaits you outdoors, for shared use. It affords a great view of the Moselle and the vineyards on the other shore. A dining space with chairs, sun loungers, a lawn and a gas grill per apartment invite you to enjoy fine Moselle wine directly from the local vineyards. The apartments each have a car parking space right by the house, as well as place to store bicycles or motorbikes.
The two apartments are on the ground floor of the house and are suitable for up to three and up to five people respectively. The smaller apartment welcomes up to three guests within 37m² of living space, while the larger apartment is suitable for a family with children, has two bedrooms and measures 47m². The interior of both apartments exudes a cosy and well-presented atmosphere, owing to modern furnishing and well-chosen decoration.
There are local little shops, restaurants and a campsite with a beer garden and a playground awaiting your visit. There is a petrol station with a minimarket for basic shopping, as well as a bakery by the historical town hall with fresh bakery items, newspapers and a small range of groceries. The neighbouring village, easy to get to on foot across the nearby bridge, has a traditional butcher with a restaurant that is worth calling into. Larger shopping facilities can be found in the town Cochem 7km away. It is highly recommended to visit the so-called “Sleeping Beauty of the Moselle” –historical Beilstein, which you can access on foot, by bike along the Moselle, by boat (directly from Bruttig), or along hiking trails (ca. 3.3km). A special highlight of the summer is the Bruttig Winzerfest vintner festival on the second weekend in August each year with fireworks, a large festive parade and live music on the square by the historical town hall.
The owners live locally and are dedicated to hospitality. Towels are changed every two days and a shuttle service is also offered. The owners can take you to the hiking trails or canoeing starting points in the area and pick you up again. You can also benefit from valuable insider tips, such as Moselle boat rides, worthwhile hiking trips and other recommendations. Simply let us know when booking and a non-binding offer can be put together for you. Delicious wines, champagne and secco from the local vintners, as well as non-alcoholic drinks, can be purchased directly at the house. Fresh bread rolls can be brought from the bakery to your front door.
Your holiday apartment is accessed directly from outside up four steps. The 47m² interior comprises a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with a bunk bed, and an open living and dining room with a kitchen space. The first bedroom has a box spring double bed (180 x 200cm) and a large wardrobe. The second has a bunk bed (each 90 x 200cm). The modern sofa in the living room with a recamiere invites you to relax after a walk. The flatscreen TV with satellite and Smart TV provides entertainment in the evening. The dining space has a table and four chairs. The kitchen enables convenient and comprehensive self-catering with a ceramic hob and oven, a dishwasher, a microwave, a kettle, egg boiler, toaster and coffee machine. A highchair, cleaning products, kitchen utensils, pans, crockery and cutlery are all provided, along with an iron, a baby package with a travel cot, baby food warmer and baby monitor. The shower room has a bath, a walk-in shower, a washbasin and a window. There is free Wi-Fi Internet access.
