Description

Our holiday house is on a little holiday house estate in the “monastery town” Dargun. There are also two terraces with plenty of garden furniture, parasols, two loungers and a grill, as well as an annex with storage space (including an extra sink and worktop for fishing enthusiasts) and a washing machine. The site is enclosed with a green hedge. By the entrance there is an inviting garden gate to the site. A bicycle is available for use free of charge. A travel bed and a highchair can be used free of charge. These should be booked from the owner before arrival. The lake Klostersee just 300 metres away with its beautiful white sandy beach provides an ideal setting for swimming, boating and fishing. The forested areas of the Mecklenburgische Schweiz bordering the holiday house invite you to go cycling and on long walks. The town centre with restaurants, supermarkets and the castle complex with the tourist information bureau is just 500 metres from the house. The town of Dargun with its monastery and castle complex, the new Hopfengarten and the maze invite you to stroll and explore. In summer concerts and exhibitions are held in the church and the interior courtyard of the monastery complex. Dargun is on the edge of the Mecklenburgische Schweiz nature reserve and Kummerower See. It is therefore an ideal starting point for hikes and extensive cycle tours, and the Klostersee has facilities for water sports enthusiasts. An attraction for many guests is a draisine tour through the wonderful landscape of Dargun as far as Salem to Kummerower See. You can then stop off at the Lelkendorf animal park. It is also recommended to go on canoe tours on the Peene or steamer rides to Kummerower See. Children, in particular, can experience the new Klosterwald adventure trail, with tours of either 2.5km or 4-5km. Our ground-level house is on a site of around 450m² with a large lawn. It is suitable for 2-6 people (+ small child), provides 90m² of living space and has modern amenities. It comprises three bedrooms – one with a double bed (plus junior bed possible), one with two single beds and one with a bunk bed. The living room/bedroom provides colour TV, a stereo system, a DVD player and a sofa bed. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, mixer, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, and a dining table and chairs for 6 (+ small child) people. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and WC and there is a separate guest WC. In rainy weather a visit to the leisure centre in the „Alte Zuckerfabrik“ Tessin is ideal for a fun day. Nearby in Verchen you can find the Abenteuer Peenetal canoe station, where you can go on e.g. a sunrise tour or a beaver tour with a solar catamaran.
