Description
You can find us on a little hill in a quiet and sunny location in the town Oberharz at the Brocken in the Elbingerode area, which is at 450 to 480 metres above sea level in a central and convenient location for getting to all the places of interest in the Harz region.
We offer you a comfortable and light living and dining room with a flatscreen TV and radio, as well as a sofa and a dining corner. It was newly renovated in 2017. The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed (180 x 200cm) and a practical wardrobe. A radio alarm is available. The second bedroom has a new and comfortable single bed (90 x 200cm). The kitchen was completely refurbished in 2016 and fitted with a new kitchen unit with a dishwasher and all typical appliances. The shower area for two people in the bathroom is spacious and has a rainshower. A highchair can be provided.
On hot days you can cool off in our natural lake pool 100 metres away that real mountain water flows into. It has a lawn, a sandy beach and a restaurant.
You can be mobile free of charge thanks to HATIX (Harz holiday ticket), by paying the local tourist tax.
Shops such as supermarket, several bakeries, banks, a pharmacy, a petrol station etc. are also nearby. There is a children’s playground just 100 metres from the accommodation. Hiking enthusiasts will enjoy the Harzer Hexenstieg that runs over 97km from west to east through the Harz region. There are meadows and forest for walks right on the doorstep. You can find shops nearby. According to Elbingerode legend, mining was the focus of work and life for the simple people, helped or hindered by mountain spirits. Visit our mines, perhaps you will also meet a mountain monk. In winter you can ski or sledge on various meadows not far from the apartment. The whole Oberharz area has an extensive cross-country skiing network. There are also pistes for downhill skiing and sledging. The town has ski and sledge rental services.
