The cozy non-smoking vacation apartment Kiebitz is located in the attic of a single-family house in a quiet residential area in Haltern-Mitte in close proximity to the Westufer Park and the Haltern Reservoir. The railroad line Cologne/Hamburg is nearby. The train noise is noticeably dampened by a noise barrier. The popular city center with numerous stores, restaurants and cafes is about 500 m away, the distance to the next bus stop is 350 m, the train station is 1.6 km away. From the train station you have a very good connection to the Münsterland as well as to the Ruhr area. The worth seeing LWL-Römermuseum is in 2,2 km distance.The Westruper Heide is about 4 km away. Various cycling and hiking trails lead near the apartment.
You can reach the Haltern reservoir and the Westufer Park in a few minutes on foot. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the park during a walk. We recommend a visit to the adventure beer garden "Jupp unner de Böcken" which is located directly on the south shore of the Haltern reservoir. Or are you in the mood for water? The lake offers many possibilities: Swimming in the lido Haltern or in the leisure pool "Aquarell", a lake tour with the passenger ship "Möwe" or pedaling and canoeing...there is something for everyone!
