The biggest attraction of the place is the Guelph Castle, which can be seen from afar and is enthroned above the town. Popular sights: World Heritage City of Gosslar, Samsonhütte in Sankt Andreasberg. Ski slopes can be reached in 15 minutes by car and cross-country ski runs directly from Lonau. Reservoirs with a sailing boat harbor, steamer trips or just swimming, as well as thermal baths are nearby.
