Kaltensundheim is located at an altitude of 460 meters above sea level, about 15 kilometers from Meiningen. Characteristic mountains are the Hemschenberg in the southeast, the Alte Mark in the south and the Leichelberg in the east. The beautiful cityscape is characterized by the many half-timbered houses, especially the bakery from 1704 is worth a visit.
