Description
Our chalet "Berghütte Vogtland" is idyllically and quietly situated at the edge of the forest at 750 m in Klingenthal/Vogtland directly at the Czech border. The chalet is an ideal retreat: to let go, take a deep breath and let your soul dangle.
Since January 2017 our mountain chalet is classified as a 5-star holiday home by the German Tourism Association.
The farmhouse, built in 1839, was carefully and exclusively renovated in 2016. On 180 m2 living and usable area with a generous living-dining area and a large kitchen/open fireplace in the former stable, infrared wellness area, three bedrooms, two bathrooms (3 WC) and a free-standing bathtub, a very cosy and very special mountain chalet for up to seven guests has been created.
Sunburnt wood, original beams, wooden floorboards, a house well in the historical vaulted cellar, historical slates create a very special atmosphere. Old wood and selected, partly historical, furnishings form the basis for the complete interior. In our mountain hut all rooms have an unobstructed view - either to the Bohemian in the Czech Republic or to the Ore Mountains. From the quiet terrace in our own garden paradise on 2.000 m² the view wanders unhindered over meadows to the surrounding mountains.

Location description : Klingenthal is a town in the Vogtland region, in the Free State of Saxony, south-eastern Germany. It is situated directly on the border with the Czech Republic opposite the Czech town of Kraslice, 29 km southeast of Plauen, and 33 km northwest of Karlovy Vary.
The Aschberg ("cinder mountain") towers above the town at 936 m. The extremely elongated town, 10.5 km from end to end, is surrounded by numerous woods.
While traditionally, the town has been a manufacturing center of musical instruments, it is also a ski resort. One of the main branches of Klingenthal's today's economy is tourism. It is home to the Baroque Zum Friedefürsten round church.
In 2005 Vogtlandarena was ready for use and there are now competitions in the Nordic Combined World Cup and Ski Jumping World Cup. It has already been a national centre for ski jumping during GDR time.
