The longest inlet in Germany is a popular sailing area. You can wonderfully watch the activity on the water. Not far away is the tranquil town of Kappeln with restaurants and shopping opportunities. Here you will find a real rarity: Europe's last herring fence. Every year on the Ascension weekend, the Hering Days are celebrated in Kappeln - a great experience for locals and guests.
