Description

Seven romantically situated lakes and ponds at the heart of the Westerwald form the Westerwald lake region. Some of them were extended already in the 12th century, at the behest of the earl at Wied. The hilly landscape between 400 and 450 metres above sea level is characterised by these lakes totaling 225 hectares, amidst extensive deciduous and coniferous forests and wide natural shore areas. This holiday apartment is in the little village Steinen, only about five to ten minutes from this lake region. The apartment provides around 100m2 of space on two floors for a maximum of four people and has a separate entrance. This apartment features a balcony of around 18m2 with garden furniture, a table, four chairs and two parasols. In the garden there is a roofed sitting corner with a table and chairs, as well as a canopy beach chair. You can use the electric grill to grill on the balcony or in the garden. Bicycles are available for use free of charge. The ground floor has a living room with heating, a radio, cable TV, a suite and a dining table with four chairs. The kitchen includes a dining corner, an electric stove, an oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and other appliances. The ground floor also has a guest WC and a storage room. An ironing table, iron etc. are available. The upper floor comprises two bedrooms, one with two single beds (100 x 200cm, the other with two single beds (100 x 200cm) one behind the other. The bathroom is fitted with a bath and a shower screen, a washing machine and dryer. A child’s bed, bed linen and towels are available. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the apartment. The owner lives in the building next door. Shops such as supermarkets are about four to seven kilometres away. Bread, rolls, drinks etc. can be purchased at the local petrol station shop. Restaurants and pizzerias are about 2km away. It is a landscape of a natural and rare harmonious beauty, offering recreation and leisure for a relaxing and healthy holiday. Winter also has its charm for winter sports enthusiasts who also enjoy walking. There are downhill and cross-country pistes about 15km away. There are cycle paths and the Westerwald Steig trail nearby, as well as Nordic walking paths. It is about 3km to an 18-hole golf course. The lakes are about a kilometre away, a heated swimming pool about 4km, an indoor pool about 7km.
