Description

The holiday house is in the centre of Bockhorn, part of Walrode, which with 280 inhabitants is one of the smallest villages, in a quiet and stand-alone location. The house provides 80m² of living space. The ground floor comprises a living and dining room, a bedroom, a bathroom and a kitchen. The living and dining room has a cosy sitting corner, an LCD TV, a stereo system and a stable dining table that can be extended as required. The upper floor has two further bedrooms. The double beds on the ground floor have mattresses measuring 100 x 200cm and are quite high, suitable for the elderly. On the upper floor the beds measure 90 x 200cm as single beds. All the beds have an adjustable slatted frame. A child’s bed is also available on the upper floor, along with a highchair that can be brought down. The kitchen is equipped with a 140-litrre fridge, an electric stove with an oven and a four-ring ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a kettle, a microwave, a coffee machine and an egg boiler. The bathroom has a shower, a wall-mounted WC and a washbasin. Plenty of hand and bath towels are provided. All the windows are fitted with fly screens, to keep mosquitoes out. There is a thermostat in the living room. The other radiators have thermostat valves, so the rooms can be regulated individually. A wireless LAN connection is available. The outdoor area has a roofed terrace, so you do not have to interrupt your grill party because of a little rain shower. The grill charcoal is not included in the rental price. There is a sandpit in the garden shaded by a cherry tree and right next to the house there is a great playground, conveniently accessed through the garden. If you arrive by car you can park it in the carport and bicycles can be parked in the adjoining shed. Owing to the central location, there are interesting trip destinations within easy access, such as the Bockhorner Uhr, Ginseng Gardens Bockhorn, Walsrode bird sanctuary, Heidemuseum Walsrode, Walsrode monastery, the Meinerdingen 1000-year-old church, Hermann Lön’s grave in the midst of the heath, the Grundloser See moor area, the Soltau thermal baths, Serengeti Park Hodenhagen, to name just a few. If you prefer walking, you can go on hikes through the surrounding forests and fields. There are cafés and restaurants within 500 metres and shops 7km away. The lake, tennis courts and a fishing spot are 3km away.
