Description

This cosy wooden holiday house is situated between the water and meadows. The house in the harbour village Zerpenschleuse is on the second row towards the water with a wonderful view of the boats and nature around the harbour basin. In summer you can enjoy the fresh air and the panorama of the canal from your private terrace. The house is very modern and light in a Scandinavian style. Owing to the gallery-like first floor and the giant panoramic windows from the floor to the roof, the whole house is flooded with daylight and you can constantly look out at the fabulous landscape from everywhere. In the vicinity you can find a restaurant by the canal, as well as cafes and boutiques in the village Zerpenschleuse within about a kilometre. The lake Bernsteinsee in Ruhlsdorf (ca. 6km) invites you to go for a swim. The wonderful sandy beach ensures waterside fun, with a bit more action provided by the waterskiing and wakeboarding facilities, with courses available. There is also the Prenden golf course just a 15-minute drive away. Apart from recreational activities, the nearby town Wandlitz (13km) with its cultural attractions is a popular destination. Berlin is just 50km away, about an hour by public transport. Zerpenschleuse is also worth a visit in winter. After a walk along the water or through snowy forests, you can warm up again in front of the crackling fire in the fireplace. You can relax here all year round. The Oder-Havel Canal runs next to the holiday house village, which crosses the Finow Canal here, whose history goes back to the 15th century. Nestled amidst forests and meadows, surrounded by several waterways, this area is a paradise for water sports, cycling and hiking enthusiasts. Very close to the holiday houses you can find the Barnim nature reserve and the Schorfheide biosphere reserve. Zerpenschleuse is a quiet and leisurely village, characterised by maritime houses in a Dutch style along the “Langer Trödel”, a former part of the Finow Canal. The harbour village Zerpenschleuse is still being built in 2018, so there may be building activity in the neighbourhood and not all roads and accesses are completed.
