Description
The little holiday house is part of a holiday village complex and is idyllically situated on the outskirts of Zandt in the Upper Bavarian Forest, surrounded by meadows and fields. The property is accessed along a path, so no cars can drive directly past the house.
The accommodation is a semi-detached house with a fully fenced garden for your own exclusive use, so it is ideal for a family holiday with a dog. The living and dining room opens directly onto the furnished terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine all day long. Several garden chairs, a bench, a garden table, two loungers and a parasol are available. You can also use the round charcoal grill. There is a sandpit on the lawn for children. In the adjoining shed you can find a sledge to use at the nearby sledging hill. An outdoor car parking space is available, about 20 metres from the house. There is a free public car park about 200 metres away.
The holiday accommodation was built as a solid construction with wood paneling and has a living space of approx. 75 m², divided over two fully heated floors. On the ground floor there is an open and bright living and dining area with an adjoining fully equipped kitchen, as well as a bathroom with shower, washbasin, hairdryer and toilet. The modern living area offers you a sofa bed (1.40 x 2.00 m), which can comfortably accommodate two additional guests. A wood-burning stove provides warmth and comfort here. A spiral staircase leads up to the upper floor, which houses two bedrooms, each with its own toilet. The first bedroom has a double bed (1.80 x 2 m wide), while the second bedroom has a single bed (0.90 x 2 m wide) and a French bed (1.40 x 2 m wide). In the second bedroom there is also a TV. The holiday home is family-friendly and offers a travel cot (0.60 x 1.20 m) and a high chair for free use, a toilet attachment and a small step stool for the sink.
It is about 850 metres to the centre of Zandt, where you can find a butcher, a bakery, a small grocery shop, several Bavarian restaurants, a pizzeria, two hairdressers and tourist information. You can go on lovely walks near the holiday complex or take the dog out for a run around. The local tourist information can provide maps for the many hiking and cycling trails in the Bavarian Forest, as well as the treetop trail. The nearest larger towns with a range of shops are Bad Kötzting (ca. 13 km), Cham (ca. 12 km) and Miltach (ca. 5 km). In Bad Kötzing you can relax with a visit to the thermal baths. For families with children it is recommended to go on a trip to the indoor playground in Cham, as well as the Bayerwald animal park in Lohberg. Not least, the hosue is a suitable base for a winter holiday near the ski resorts of the Bavarian Forest. During the warmer season, the Sankt Englmar winter sports region will entice you with its summer toboggan run.
IMPORTANT: Please note that it is not possible to depart on Sundays!
Upon arrival guests receive a small welcome gift. Besides, for the first days there are toilet paper rolls in all toilets and filled soap dispensers, also there are detergent, a kitchen towel and a dishcloth. Also a kitchen roll and tabs for the dishwasher are available for the first few days, so you do not need to go shopping right away.
Free wireless Internet access is available throughout the accommodation. Up to two dogs are allowed and the owner can provide a dog bowl.
