Description

Situated amidst the vineyards, surrounded by trees, bushes and meadows – our new holiday house welcomes you with its Mediterranean flair. It is a little house with a core of stone and loam, new inside and out and clad with natural spruce wood. The house is ideal for individualists looking to get away from everyday stress in peace and seclusion. Children and dogs experience a paradise with plenty of freedom and beautiful nature. They can run around and play to their heart’s content on the ca. 3000m² site, where you can also grill or light a campfire in the stone circle. You can find lovely sitting areas on site and a big wooden terrace behind the house, for every weather and every purpose, whether it is for breakfast, sociable gatherings or reading. A mounted pool with a diameter of around 3 metres is planned for the garden. It is only about 200 metres to our own vineyard with a hut, where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the village Döbrököz and a wonderful sunset in the evening. Our guests can use the picnic terrace in front of the vineyard hut, the canopy swing and the adjoining orchard amidst grape vines. The little kitchen with a glass bow front is like a conservatory. The cosy corner bench and the old wooden table in the bow front allow you to relax, perhaps with a glass of our own organic wine directly from the oak barrel, or a glass of liqueur, all organically cultivated. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything for self-catering, such as two electric cooking rings, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a coffee machine, kettle, crockery, cutlery, cookware and tea towels. A couple of steps lead from the living room to the newly fitted big bathroom with a shower, WC, hairdryer and towels. The rooms on the ground floor can be easily accessed up a couple of steps and are therefore suitable for the elderly or those with restricted mobility. The attic studio completely clad with wood is accessed up wooden stairs from the living room. It has a cosy group of mattresses, especially popular among children and young people. There are two comfortable loungers and two further mattresses, so there is plenty of space for a large family with up to four children, or four adults with two children, for an enjoyable holiday. On cooler evenings in the spring and autumn, the old wood-burning stove with firewood exudes pleasant warmth. There are good riding and fishing possibilities nearby, as well as excellent restaurants with Hungarian cuisine at good prices. Dogs are welcome everywhere, including in the house. There is a dog training ground about a kilometre away with training facilities. You can do shopping about a kilometre away. All ages will enjoy the spa and wellness pool Gunaras only about 5km away, for cooling off on hot days and relaxing during the cold season. A 55°C spring supplies mineral-rich spa water, which is good for treating many complaints. The big wellness area with a thermal pool up to 38°C, various saunas, a whirlpool, solariums and many other facilities ensure health and well-being. On hot summer days, the nearby Lake Orfü (ca. 30km) offers everything you could which for. Dogs are also allowed here. It has beaches, boat jetties and fishing facilities, as well as water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. You can enjoy culture in many museums and viewing towers. About 20km away there is also the newly built medieval theme park at Bikal, where cultural events are regularly held e.g. musicals and concerts. Pecs is worth a day trip, about 45km away, as well as the flower town Kaposvar about 40km away. The capital Budapest is about 120km away, Lake Balaton only about 65km. You can drive up to in front of the house in a normal car that is not too lowly slung. If it should rain and the slightly ascending access road is more difficult to navigate, we can assist with transporting luggage and shopping on request. If you like walking, it is about 400 metres (about 10 minutes) from the road down in the valley, where you can also park.
