This large seaside holiday home in Connemara has three bedrooms and sleeps 6 guests comfortably. Situated on an elevated site providing views of the surrounding countryside and a short stroll from the Atlantic ocean in Connemara and Clifden Castle.

The fitted kitchen is well equipped with all your needs for your self-catering holiday in Connemara. The living room is well furnished with comfortable seating and an open fire. There are unrivalled views of Clifden Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding countryside from the windows of the front of the house.

Things to see and do in Connemara

Clifden Castle is located 700 metres from this self-catering holiday home, a ruined manor-built c. 1818 for John D'Arcy, the local landowner, in the Gothic Revival style. The castle was uninhabited after 1894 and fell into disrepair.

Sky Road Holiday Home is situated 2.9 km from Clifden, this vibrant seaside town is packed with good restaurants, cosy cafes, lively trad bars and craft shops. There are numerous festivals throughout the year in Clifden, including the famous Connemara Pony Festival and the Arts Festival in September.

Further afield and just a short drive away is Connemara National Park which is one of six national parks in Ireland. The park was established in 1980 and managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service of the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. Connemara National Park covers some 2,000 hectares of scenic mountains, expanses of bogs, heaths, grasslands and woodlands.

Kylemore Abbey is another top tourist attraction in Connemara County Galway and well worth a visit on your next self-catering holiday in County Galway.

Connemara’s rugged coastline boasts some of Ireland’s finest beaches, with stretches of pure white sands and turquoise waters. 1. Heating and Electricity:
This is an extra charge which is mostly payable to the Property Manager/Owner. In some cases, energy is charged at a fixed daily rate or a rate per unit on the units consumed or you are required to top up a Pre-Paid Meter while in others, energy charges are included in the rate you have paid. We advise you to check with the local Owner/ Property Manager prior to arrival how this is calculated or prior to making the booking.

2. Security Deposit:
A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorising your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.
