Located in the centre of Menaggio and with a private lake view balcony for company, this gorgeous family and group-friendly retreat offers an effortless holiday base for groups of 6. Its strategic location places guests within a stone’s throw of the ferry and resort amenities, enabling you to leave the car at home.

On entering the fully WiFi-enabled 1st floor apartment, steps lead down to the first sitting room, which is a light and airy modern space with sofa suite and flat screen TV. The lovely room also features a partial reclaimed fresco ceiling and leads through to the main family Living room. The generous size room enjoys a bright and welcoming open plan layout; with picture windows and balcony access on hand to make the most of the far-reaching lake views. The romantic lake back drop is certainly something to write home about! The comfortable sofa suite and flat screen TV provide every excuse to kick back and take in the views, whilst the adjoining open Kitchen diner with partly reclaimed fresco ceiling, breakfast bar for 2 and a dining table for 4 sets the scene for enjoying tasty home-cooked meals. Guests will find the Kitchen fully equipped with a cooker hob, oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

The serene, modern apartment features 2 generous size bedrooms which are both furnished with a Double bed and provide an ambient, restful setting for tempting holiday slumbers. A third guest bedroom next to the main Living room features a glass brick wall for light, and is furnished with 2 separate Single beds, a hanging rail and a chest of drawers.

The main modern family bathroom also features a partial alfresco ceiling and is equipped with a bath tub and shower tap, a separate shower cubicle, a wash basin, a WC and bidet.
A second modern bathroom is equipped with a shower cubicle, a wash basin, WC and bidet. Private laundry facilities are also provided, for added convenience whilst away.

The private sunny lake view balcony is furnished with a café bistro set for 2 and enjoys views of bobbing boats and the famous resort towns of Bellagio and Varenna. The magical setting creates an inspiring back drop for morning coffees, lazy sun bathes and savouring a chilled glass of Prosecco at sunset. The lakeside residence also benefits from its own communal shingle lake beach.

For added flexibility, the apartment can be rented alongside 2 other apartments in the same building (Menaggio Tosca 1 ID 2815 and Menaggio Tosca 3 ID 2817), enabling larger families and groups to enjoy carefree convenience and proximity during their stay.

The 1st floor apartment is situated in a 4-storey mixed-purpose residence, which is located along the main lakeside road into town. From the convenient communal street entrance, the road leads in no time to the quaint harbour, the café-lined piazzas and shop-lined streets of central Menaggio, as well as the town’s ferry stop for days out sightseeing (all a 1-minute walk away).

Location:

The residence enjoys a convenient town location, along Via Novembre. Guests are situated one floor above the Lake Como Holiday office, where they can learn more about the fun activities on offer, as well as receive tourist information and book in extra concierge service to help enhance their stay.

Just a 1-minute stroll down the road leads to the pretty, timeless harbour of Menaggio and the family-friendly lakeside centre; which offers everything one could need during a self-catering stay, including supermarkets, delicatessens, boutique gift shops, café-lined piazzas and authentic array of Italian restaurants and bars to enjoy. Menaggio is also home to a popular family Lido with two outside pools, a sandy lake beach, volleyball court, play area, on-site pizzeria and glamourous lakeside cocktail lounge bar. A frequent ferry service operates from the town to the famous central lake resort towns of Varenna ( a romantic town with a delightful old town to explore and the Castello di Vezio to trek up to), Bellagio (a beautiful resort with buzzing cafes, restaurants, gift shops, a lido and the Villa Melzi gardens to discover) and Cadenabbia (for historical walking routes, lidos and Villa Carlotta attraction).

Alongside its Lido, Menaggio also offers opportunities for lake swimming, kayak and power boat rental, fishing, cycling, hiking and a game of tennis or golf up on its scenic hillside.

Perfectly placed along the desirable central western shore, the pretty resort town places guests within easy reach by car, bus or ferry from the Tremezzina restaurants, lidos, walking routes (Sacro Monte di Ossuccio, Greenway del Lago, San Martino) and the famous villa attractions.

The Italian Alp Ski resorts of Piani di Bobbio and Madesimo (within 85 minutes’ drive away) and the cosmopolitan delights Lugano (40 minutes’ drive away) all offer reasons to come and stay throughout the year.

Como city is under 60 minutes’ drive away and can also be reached via air-conditioned bus or fast passenger ferry from Menaggio.
Milan is 1.5 hours’ drive away (reached by a ferry across the lake and then train from Varenna or in the south from the main S. Giovanni station in Como). The closest airport to Menaggio is Milan Malpensa (approximately 80 minutes’ drive) and Lugano Airport (approximately 50 minutes’ drive).
