Description

The villa lies on a promontory with a view of the picturesque cliff settlement of Castello, in an unusual and exclusive location. The house is above the Cava d’Ispica gorge and therefore affords a unique view of the 13-km-long valley where there are numerous archaeological finds and a wealth of Mediterranean flora and fauna. The majority of the rooms are connected to the sun terrace, from which you can admire the panoramic view of the entire limestone gorge. The building, which was originally inhabited by the tenants of the property, was restored using natural materials typical of the region, such as limestone and wood. The house comprises seven comfortable rooms, each with its own entrance and with a private bathroom with shower. All the rooms have air conditioning, a minibar and a 26” LCD TV. Five rooms are on the upper floor, while the sixth and the seventh room are on the lower floor, where there are also a dining room with access to the kitchen, and a living room in a lounge style, where you can watch TV, read or relax on comfortable sofas. As regards energy costs, up to 600 kWh are included in the rental price. Owing to the remote location of the villa, it is not accessible by public transport and it is recommended to travel by car. There are shops about 7km away and a restaurant 5km away. The golden beaches of Pozzallo, Sampieri, S. Lorenzo, Cala Mosche, as well as the natural oases of Vendicari and Portopalo di Capo Passero, the southern tip of Sicily, are within easy access (15-35km). The same applies to the picturesque baroque towns of Ragusa, Noto and Scicli (also 15-30km). Here you will experience a unique and peaceful atmosphere. The place exudes a natural tranquillity, which will charm you. The gem of rare beauty amidst the spectacle of nature will inspire you to rediscover the lost concept of “slow movement”. The villa is also surrounded by a large garden, which has many cosy corners and a gazebo, chairs and armchairs, as well as an attractive private pool with parasols and deckchairs.
