Description

The holiday house is surrounded by nature, in the hills near Modica, in the centre of Val di Noto. The house is surrounded by a big site, closed off by two entrance gates. The site is enclosed by typical dry walls. The paved driveways provide space to park up to four cars. The kitchen and the living room open onto the veranda with seating, looking out at a lovely garden with olive and fruit trees. A gazebo with a big table and benches invites you to enjoy sociable summer evenings outdoors. There is also a brick-built grill. The highlight of the holiday house is the jacuzzi, where you can relax and let yourself be massaged by the hydromassage. Please notice that the Jacuzzi is available from june to september, due to the weather conditions. Otherwise you can ask us to open it between October and May (for a fee and on request). The stone house dates back to the end of the 19th century and has been completely renovated, preserving the old charm, whilst combining it with modern comfort. It is ideal for up to eight people. The house consists of a main building and an annex right next to it. The style of the house is rustic and rural, with wooden furniture and exposed stone walls. The main building has a kitchen with a romantic and rural flair, with a wooden dining table, a dresser and a brick-built kitchen unit with a gas stove, mini oven, fridge with freezer compartment and an antique wood-burning stove. The spacious living room has a big wooden table, benches, a fireplace stove (not usable), shelving, a TV (DVBT channels), and a sofa bed for two people (160 x 190cm). There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (160 x 190cm) and a bunk bed, and one with two single beds (80 x 190cm). Between the bedrooms there is the bathroom with a shower cubicle. The annex consists of a little kitchen and a bathroom with a shower cubicle. The kitchenette provides a modern wood-burning stove, a sink, a dining table and a gas stove. The rooms in the main building (apart from the bathroom) have air conditioning (cool/warm). Firewood is provided. There is no Internet connection. There are some towns near the holiday house that are definitely worth a visit, as they reflect the Sicilian baroque: Modica, Scicli, Ragusa and Noto, as well as Rosolini and Ispica. The Pozzallo beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag. The beaches on the Ionian coast, Marzamemi and Vedicari, are also ideal for swimming. The nearest grocery shop is 4km away, and there is a pizzeria 1km away. This holiday accommodation is ideal for a relaxing and quiet holiday.
