Description

Diddy's Country is a holiday for the senses. Diddy's Country is situated in the middle of a centuries-old, still active olive grove. The house is located just one kilometre outside the small town of San Vito dei Normanni, yet it is completely rural and idyllic. Let your senses be stimulated, feel the soothing sun on your skin, when you have had enough of it, there are also plenty of shady spots and you can cool off in the saltwater swimming pool. Lying by the pool, you can see the variety of plants and flowers, the blue sky and the ancient olive trees. The house has two flats which can be rented together for up to 15 people or separately outside the high season. Here we offer both properties together. The ground floor flat is about 170 square metres and has 4 double bedrooms, a library/office with sofa bed, a living/dining room with fireplace and a large kitchen with adjoining laundry room. There are also two large bathrooms. The upper flat is about 40 square metres, has a double bedroom, a room with 2/3 single beds, a bathroom and a comfortable kitchen. In addition, there is a very large, romantic terrace. The dining area is covered with a gazebo, but everyone can also eat together downstairs either by the pool or at the other various dining places. We are very much into quality and sustainability and have furnished the house accordingly. For example, all the fabrics come from a small fabric producer in Puglia, and the bed linen was also made especially for our guests. The flats are very comfortable and have air conditioning in the corridors to the rooms, each room has a fan. The kitchen/s is/are fully equipped. You will find all the appliances and utensils you need to cook and more. There is an American fridge in the laundry room. The 20 square metre dining room is two steps up next door (Openplan). Kitchen 1 Other kitchen equipment : The kitchen is very large and has 5 hotplates, a 90cm oven and a Bosch dishwasher. Other cooking equipment like kitchen robot (Kitchen Aid Prof with many accessories), juicer and lots of dishes, serving dishes, glasses, designer plastic glasses for the swimming pool area, etc.. Separate laundry room with Bosch washing machine and Bosch dryer. The large dining table is in the dining room next to the kitchen, the kitchen itself has a marble table with 6 chairs. The outdoor area is very large and has different areas: Pool Large salt water infinity pool with extra infra-red barrier that can be activated if needed. Floodlit tennis court. The property is set in 4 hectares of olive grove. We produce our own olive oil. Pine garden with fish fountain. Bicycles, go-carts and vehicles for small children can be used on the internet roads off the property. This house is ideal for families or groups of friends, the outdoor areas are luxuriously furnished and there is enough gift for all guests. We have everything for toddlers, cots, high seats, toys, etc.... A certain number of bicycles are available for our guests. The tennis court and our pool can be used at any time of the day. Pizza oven and barbecue and free wood are at the guests' disposal. The house has an alarm system that can be activated. The complex is connected to a security service. The pool alarm can be activated for children's safety. Our Wifi (internet) is from Starlink and is the best and fastest system available in the region at the moment. Our house is ideally placed to visit the historical towns around us. Ostuni, the white city, for example, can be reached in 20 minutes by car. You can visit all the towns and sights in Puglia from San Vito. Beach You can reach different beaches by car from the house, the first ones are 15-20 minutes away. You can reach both sides of the boot, Adriatic Sea and Ionian Sea. Sports facilities in the surroundings : golf course, paragliding, cycling, horse riding, sailing, surfing, diving. Surroundings 1 Excursions : There are countless excursions to beautiful historical towns, a variety of beaches on the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea and much more, such as wineries, amusement parks, museums, UNESCO protected areas, excavations, etc.. We send our guests a welcome website, with lots of information also about excursions. Location : You are in the north of Salento, a beautiful region with ancient olive trees, great landscapes and beaches, historical towns, the nearest one, Ostuni, is 20 minutes away. If you turn left from our road towards Ceglie, after a few kilometres trullis begin. From Ceglie to Martina Franca you are in "Trulliland". Other sport and leisure possibilities : Our house is directly on a bicycle route, from there you can ride to the nature reserve of Torre Guaceto. San Vito has a very well equipped bike shop, many groups ride professionally around the area. We have a few bikes for our big and small guests, which we maintain every year, but they are rather old.
