Villa Carina is set on the side of a hill overlooking a quiet valley, in the Verdicchio wine region of the Marche, about 30 minutes from Ancona airport, on the Adriatic coast. The rural villages of Sasso and Castellaro are around 1½ - 2 miles away, with bar, small supermarket and a pizzeria. In the valley (about 5 miles away) can be found many shops, bars, restaurants and larger supermarkets. The nearest large town is Jesi, with a beautiful historic centre with churches, museums and galleries, and opera house. The Renaissance city Urbino, birthplace of Raphael, is about 90 minutes away. The Adriatic coastline (about 25 miles away) has many beautiful beaches and bays. You must visit Senigallia, a smart seaside resort with miles of flat sandy beaches, and Sirolo, a beautiful village with spectacular views over the Adriatic, and small secluded beach.
