The Valsolda is a unique dream of landscape harmony and beauty, which has fascinated and inspired famous poets and painters for centuries. Our holiday home, in the middle of this paradise, is a gem, ready to receive guests who appreciate traditional values beyond the hectic mass tourism.
This house was originally built in the 12./13. Century, but has been transformed into a comfortable, spacious holiday home, recently renovated, with modern facilities (kitchen bath / shower / toilets). The house is located in a quiet, sunny area in the small old village of Loggio-Valsolda, 10 km from CH-Lugano. From there you enjoy the view of a great landscape.
You can swim and row a boat in the nearby lake or visit cultural sights.
Many paths for hiking lead through the magnificent landscape, from the lake surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation up to the alpine mountains through meadows, forests and old villages with magnificent architecture.
For connoisseurs of classical literature: The Valsolda was the home of the important Italian poet and novelist Fogazzaro. Most of his novels, e.g. "Piccolo mondo antico" play in the Valsolda
