The modern gated residence is built on the site of the ancient noble Villa Capoana and the remains of this once grand ducal residence can still be enjoyed today with its fully restored rococo style grotto fountain and the passing Fiumelatte River which is also an impressive feature of the resident grounds.

The property itself can be reached by stairs and a private garage is situated conveniently nearby for guest’s use.

A spacious and very stylish open plan living and dining room greets guests and provides a fantastic place to relax, dine and entertain with a comfortable sofa, a flat screen SAT TV, a contemporary dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. Guests can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a self-catering stay with all the desired kitchen appliances and utensils to hand including a gas hob oven, a coffee machine, electric kettle and dish washer. The room also enjoys splendid lake views as well as a unique internal feature window which opens into a beautiful and highly romantic natural spring!

Guests can fully enjoy the sunny terrace to the front of the property which enjoys direct lake views and is furnished with alfresco dining furniture for enjoyable meals in the sun!

The spacious master bedroom is furnished to a very stylish standard with modernist furniture and direct access through French doors to the outside terrace.

Additional guests can be accommodated on the double sofa bed to the living room and a modern bathroom fitted with power shower, wash basin, hair dryer, WC, bidet and washing machine is also provided for guests use.

The residence is ideally located along the main village road and so guests can easily reach the local shops, authentic local restaurants and the lake bus service and Lecco-Milan train service from Fiumelatte Station.

The central lake boasts a wealth of activities including lake swimming and sunbathing on the nearby public beach in Lierna, exploring the beautiful Lake Como villas, sailing, windsurfing, kite surfing and power boat rental on the lake and enjoying extreme sports, tennis, golf, skiing and sea plane adventures. The famous resort town of Varenna can also be reached by car from the village in less than 5 minutes!

Here guests can explore this timeless and romantic appeal of this resort town which features cafe-lined piazzas, a restaurant-lined lakefront and ancient buildings and cobbled streets which lead to romantic vistas. The historical Castello di Vezio features medieval re-enactments and falconry displays and is a scenic hillside walk from the town. The famous Villa Monastero is located in Varenna and features historical botanical gardens and a splendid lakefront view to leave visitors breathless! Varenna also provides a frequent car and passenger ferry service to Bellagio, Cadenabbia and Menaggio.
