Next to Callantsoog, some historic towns like Schagen with its west frisian market, Alkmaar with its cheese market and Den Helder with its many interesting museums. A trip to the isle of Texel is possible as well. In Callantsoog, directly behind the dunes, you can enjoy the nature reserve of “Het Zwanewater“, where you can see strange plants, birds and two dune seas. Highly recommended.
