Volendam and Marken are easily accessible and offer a lot of entertainment and beautiful houses that perfectly depict the earlier Dutch culture. Renting a boat and enjoying a trip on the IJsselmeer or the Markermeer is also worth it. The houseboat has parking and a kitchenette, so you can easily prepare a simple meal. One of the bedrooms is specially equipped for children and you have a comfortable living room with TV and dining table.
