The distinctive town of Sintra, classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site, is just 8 kms away. Along the coast of Sintra, are numerous beaches with golden sand bathed by the Atlantic. Other popular beaches are Samarra, Magoito, Azenhas do Mar and Praia da Adraga.
