Description

This modern house is in a valley in the little village of Furnas on the Azores island Sao Miguel. The living room opens onto the terrace with a grill area, with terrace furniture. There are some fruit trees in the garden. There is free parking 50 metres from the house. It is a little row house that was restored and modernised in 2006. It consists of two floors. The ground floor has a living room with an LCD TV, a dining table for six people and a fully-equipped kitchen unit with an oven, stove, microwave and espresso coffee machine. The big windows allow plenty of daylight into the living room. There is a small bathroom with a shower on the ground floor. The upper floor has a larger bathroom with a bath and bidet. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The bedrooms have a balcony with a beautiful view of the surroundings. In the immediate vicinity there is a little stream and there are thermal springs (Poça da Beija). There are some hiking routes within easy access of the house. There are a restaurant and a grocery shop only about 100 metres from the house. The centre with further restaurants, an ATM and taxi stand is about a kilometre away. The nearest beach, Ribeira Quente, is ten kilometres away. There is a golf course a ten-minute drive away. Note that there are some steps leading up to the house entrance. A travel cot can be provided on request. A supplementary bed is available. RRAL 196
