Although it is very close to the coast (10 km), it preserves a good part of the traditional rhythm of life in Mallorca. Its houses also preserve the traditional Mallorcan typology with their stone facades. It is located in the center of a valley surrounded by mountains. In the town there is an extensive pedestrian area, with restaurants, cafes and shops. Tonineta is located about 100m from the church square, the center of the town. The weekly market takes place on Thursdays in the church square. Local festivals are in mid-August and early September.
