Description

Casa Paragiau is a perfect hub for excursions to beautiful beaches, interesting towns and pictorial places. In other words: Casa Paragiau is perfect for People who really want to experience Andalusia live. By the way: We have wifi, air conditioning and sound-absorbing, double-glazed windows in the bedrooms. We also provide a washing machine and dryer. All things that count for a stay to remember.

Torrox Pueblo is a typical andalusian village, exactly the way one imagines it: White houses, narrow, angulated alleys, stairs, terraces, little squares, flowers, old and young meeting on the plaza, little restaurants and bars where one can eat and drink deliciously. Casa Paragiau is right in the middle of it: A typical andalusian village-house. Small, charming, cosy, practical and well situated. Three house-levels, steep stairs, living and enjoying life on the terrace. That’s Casa Paragiau.
Casa Paragiau is situated at the Calle Baja, three minutes away from the plaza. Apart a few exceptions only spanish people live in the neighborhood. One knows each other, one sees each other, one hears each other, one appreciates each other. Life in Torrox Pueblo is contemplative, but it is also loud, cheerful and colorful.

Bedrooms:
1 pull-out couch bed in the living room (parterre). 1 bedroom with double bed and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds (first floor). A total of 4 beds and an emergency bed.
Living Room:
Like in most traditional Spanish houses you step directly into the living room by opening the main entrance door. There is a little dinette, a sideboard with TV and a stereo, a couch – and a lot of photographs.
Bathroom:
Small, compact bathroom with lavatory, shower and toilet.
Kitchen:
Modern kitchen with cooker oven, fridge and all necessary kitchen tools. The washing machine although is located in the kitchen.
Terrace:
From the kitchen you have access to the terrace. The terrace is the look-out and the “outdoor living-room” of the house.
Stairs:
There is a steep stair going up through all the house. It connects the three levels.
Utilites:
Wi-Fi and air condition. The more all necessary equipment for cleaning, drying, ironing etc. is available. Also: Barbecue, fridge/freezer, iron, oven, washing machine, room fans, TV.

Washing:
The house has a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service: Towels and linen are included. During long term rentals guests do the laundry on their own.
Cleaning:
For the cleaning of the house / the laundry we charge 50 Euros per rental.

Beaches:
The coast is a for kilometer drive away from Torrox Pueblo. A disadvantage? Not for the locals. For good reasons: The coast is urbanized and sometimes overcrowded. So it is comfortable to use what the coast offers, but it is even more comfortable to go back to the village after. Torrox Costa has a nice beach, but along the coast there are so many other nice beaches. Torrox Pueblo is a good hub to explore them.  
Sports / Special Interest:
Torrox Pueblo is located at the edge of the national park Sierre de Tejada-almijara. The park is one of the most important mountain regions in south-eastern Andalucia. The natural environment attracts lovers of nature to its routes, especially the walking routes within the park. So the region is a paradise for hikers and bikers. On the other hand, the beaches offer any kind of water-activities, such as surfing, diving, sailing, fishing etc. Also there are several golf courses in the area. Tourist offices are giving full information on all possibilities.
Clima:
Torrox Pueblo advertises with the slogan "el mejor clima de Europe". In fact the region profits of a protected micro-clima – winters are mild and summers not as hot as in other spanish regions. Furthermore there's no disturbing wind blowing sand in every corner. So Torrox Pueblo really is a perfect spot for people who want to skip winter.
Car / Bus:
Malaga airport is just a half hour drive away from Torrox pueblo. There are several companies offering car rental at the airport. In fact car rental is not absolutely necessary because the bus services are very good.
From Torrox Pueblo there are buses regularely going down to Torrox Costa, El Morche, Nerja and other destinations. It's easy to get around.
Parking:
One can pass Casa Paragiau by, stop to unload or load something, but it is not possible to park directly beside the house. But: In a distance of a five to max. 10 minutes walk there are two public parking, where you can park for free.
We are not permanently living in Torrox, but on the spot-support for any questions and problems is secured by somebody who lives residently in Torrox Pueblo. Before our guest take over, they receive all necessary Codes (Master Lock, Wi-Fi, Clima) to run the house by Email. We also provide them with detailled manuals.

Other leisure facilities:

Torrox is on the other side three kilometers from the sea and is bordered on the other by a massive mountain chain in the back.The national park of the Sierra de Tejeda-Almijara is a paradise for hikers and bikers. Along the coast you can also enjoy all kinds of water sports you can imagine.

Excursion possibilities: Torrox is an excellent starting point for excursions into the closer and wider surroundings. Beautiful old cities such as Malaga, Seville, Cordoba and Granada are not far away. Between Almeria and Cadiz, countless "white villages" are waiting to be discovered by them. Or how about a trip to Gibraltar? Or even to Morocco? Not to mention the many culinary specialties that can be tasted here.
