Description

The yellow wooden house stands in the middle of the village Appenzell, opposite to the town hall. It is 450 years old, has an old equipment from grandmother's time and can tell stories. This may provide a romantic feeling of the middle ages. Nearly all parts of the house are made of wood. Some parts which make our todays life more confortable are new, e.g. bed, cooking equipment, towels, wifi etc.

The apartment is on the 1st floor. It is intended for 2-3 people. In case of 4-5 guests an additional room can be used on the 2nd floor, with toilet and bath in the holiday apartment.

From the kitchen you see the colorful life on the place. The other rooms give view to the balcony which is decorated with plants during the warmer summer season.

The host lives on the 2nd floor. Two more rooms for guests are on the 3rd floor.

The house can be reached from the railway station within a 3 minute's walk. If you arrive by car, you'll find blue parking slots for a short stay close to the house. White parking fields for several hours are at "Ziel" or "Brauereiplatz", both only a 5 minute's walk away.

The guests are asked to show consideration for the conditions of a timber house with historical character, to renounce, e. g. burning candles, smoking or other fire in the rooms and to keep to the night's rest if other guests are in the house. Smoking on the balcony is permitted.
