Casa al Castagno - This modern holiday home with 145 sqm living space and great lake view has a well-equipped kitchen and a spacious living/dining area on the ground floor. The terraces are partly covered and offer with two groups of seats, a small lawn, a 3-seater Jacuzzi and a pool (Community Residenza al Castagno) many possibilities for relaxation and entertainment
On the upper floor there are 2 separate studios, each with a bedroom and double bed, bathroom en suite, balcony and a gallery with further single beds (single room with single bed or 2 single beds plus sofa bed).
During your stay you will have exclusive use of the entire property. If you have any questions, a contact person will be available on site.

The facilities of the holiday home correspond to a 4-star superior classification by the Swiss Tourism Association (STV). Since 2018 we are certified as family and biker friendly accommodation. For us, family-friendly accommodation also means that we do not charge for the overnight stay of children and young people up to the age of 17 if this exceeds the standard occupancy of 4 persons.

The house has a garage with direct access and another parking space in front of the house. The keys are provided via a "Keysafe". You can plan your arrival and departure without depending on any specific time schedule. More details about the comfortable use of the property will be provided in writing after booking. Further information about the house and travel guides (hiking, recreation and culture, biking) are available in the house.

For travelers with electric vehicles, an easee Home 11kW Wall Box, mounted in the garage, is available for charging the vehicle. So you stay (e-)mobile even on vacation.

Only 5 minutes from Vira is Piazzogna, which still has a small town centre with gastronomy and retail. The entrances to the Gambarogno hiking trails can be reached directly from the house. Locarno and Ascona can be reached by car in 15 to 20 minutes. It is even easier to take the ferry from Magadino (only 5 minutes by car). Another attraction is the weekly market in Luino.
