Description

The two-room holiday apartment is located in a detached wooden house typical of the region from the 19th century. The location of the house on the south-facing slope below a forest is quiet with a view of the valley and the mountains. There is a terrace on the east side (morning sun until midday) and on the west side (afternoon sun until evening), each with a garden table and chairs, and on the west side a small lawn with a deck chair. The apartment is heated with wood. In the living room there is a stove made of tiles and sandstone. In the village there is a Coop store with a post office and a restaurant. There are further shopping opportunities in Schwarzenburg or Riggisberg, which are both just under 10 km away. The nearest post bus stop is in the village, about 10 minutes on foot, with connections to Schwarzenburg and Riggisberg. Nevertheless, a car is recommended for exploring the surrounding area (Gantrisch Nature Park, Bernese Oberland and French-speaking Switzerland). The apartment is ideal as a contrast to city life. A dense network of hiking trails connects to the Gantrisch Nature Park, among others, and in summer there is a swimming pool nearby (Eywald). The nearest ski lift is Rüschegg-Eywald (just under 4 km). The small but nice apartment shows that Switzerland can be affordable.
