Duplex appartement (110m2) renovated with privat sauna in the small mountain village of St.Martin near the capital of Sion (19km), 5 balconies, terrace. Open kitchen, 3 bedrooms, salon with fireplace, privat parking space in public parking, very sunny situated, easy access, with view to the glacier and several pics over 4000m. Wintersports - several resorts in 20min by car - summer - hiking paradis.
St-Martin (1400m) - typical small mountain village on the sunny side of the valley of Hérens/Valais - shop and restaurants in walking distance. A larger supermarket and more tourist attractions in the nearby village of Evolène (9km=10min by car).You reach the capital Sion in 30 min and the next international airport is Geneva (176km) = 1h50. Zermatt and Chamonix (France) in 1h30 by car.
Winter - Practical no snow in the village but 4 ski resorts nearby: our favorit Nax/Mont-Noble 20min by car or skibus (great for families and beginners, skischool), Evolène/Lana at 15 min, Arolla and Thyon/Veysonnaz (4 valley-Verbier) via Les Masses 30 mn. Many snowshoes trails, cross country in Evolène, nordic skiing. Typical restaurants in Evolène - our famous cheese specialities: raclette and fondue.
Summer - hiking in preserved nature from one alp to another tasting alm made food, for families and sport fans to the glacier, along ancient irrigation trails surrounded by still more ancient larches, 8 altitude huts (2600-3400m), observing marmots and bouquetins, 2 Via Ferrata, the Grande Dixence Dam - the tallest gravity dam in the world
Sion - capital of the Valais, 30min by car or bus, old town with cultural events and terraces with life music weekends - adventure fun park with lake for the whole family, market friday morning, vineyards
One day off - to Montreux, Zermatt, Chamonix, Crans Montana, Aletsch Glacier - largest glacier of the Alps (UNESCO)
