Description

Our organic farm, horse ranch, and Pinto horse breeding facility are located in Sta. Maria, within the pristine Val Müstair Nature Park. Nestled idyllically just outside the village, near the peaceful Rom stream, our farm offers a tranquil retreat. We are a young family with two daughters, and in addition to our beloved horses, we have chickens (look forward to a fresh breakfast egg!), rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, a foster dog, a trampoline, and a large garden perfect for sunbathing (we enjoy around 300 days of sunshine per year) and barbecuing.

A true highlight of our farm is the variety of horseback adventures we offer, including scenic trail rides, trekking tours (one-day or multi-day options), immersive riding packages, and courses in Natural Horsemanship. The diverse terrain provides exciting routes for experienced riders confident in all gaits. For guests with their own horses, we offer enclosed paddocks and spacious horse stalls. At our farm, we practice Natural Horsemanship – a natural and humane way of working with and caring for horses, reflecting our deep commitment to nature and animal welfare: living in harmony with nature, for nature.

The Val Müstair, with Sta. Maria as a starting point, is a perfect setting for unforgettable experiences: panoramic trail rides on horseback, alpine hikes ranging from gentle scenic routes to challenging high-altitude climbs, mountain biking (with routes like the Umbrail Pass, Stelvio Pass, and Ofen Pass nearby), and a vibrant local trail biking scene with experienced guides catering to all skill levels. The area is also ideal for road cycling and motorbike tours. In winter, you can enjoy cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, sledding under floodlights, and skiing at the Minschuns ski area (just 15 minutes away by ski bus).

Adults will find peace, relaxation, or the perfect playground for outdoor adventures at our farm. Children love it here: from spending time with the animals, jumping on the trampoline, and building stone towers by the Rom stream, to exploring frogs in the nearby pond and playing at the local playground just a short walk away – they’ll enjoy an active and fulfilling day outdoors.

A holiday with us is the perfect antidote to the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It’s a chance to slow down, reconnect, and simply be – here with us.

Live in proper style on the horse farm
The loft apartment (130m²) is on the ground floor and is barrier-free. The parking lot is also right next to the entrance door.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a fine family meal as utensils, barbecue area right in front of the apartment with a small terrace to sunbathe and relax. The bathroom has a spacious shower, towels, bed linen and kitchen linen included. For entertainment, TV, internet and games & books are available. In our outdoor area, which is shared by all guests, there is table tennis, trampoline and our small petting zoo in summer.

It has become beautiful, our loft apartment, newly built in 2020. Living in a modern, open style, barrier-free & handicapped accessible (including bathrooms).

Perfect for small groups and families with children. Would you like to go on vacation with your dog? With pleasure! In addition, we have a large, fenced-in free range; if you want to go on a day trip without a dog, we will take care of the dog walker service. Cost per dog / night: 10 CHF.

Conditions and extras
Shops for daily needs as well as the Postbus stop and restaurants can be found in the town center, approx. 200m away.

The following additional costs will be billed on site:
