Description
Two modern, recently built (2000 and 2012) holiday cottages on a country estate, with a shared indoor pool, a fitness room and a whirlpool in the outdoor area with greenery
This romantic country estate is surrounded by green nature just outside the historical town Hastings along the south coast of England, within walking distance of the picturesque Covehurst Bay. You can experience and enjoy lush coastal landscape and a traditional English way of life here.
The two holiday cottages were newly built in 2000 and 2012 and therefore provide all the necessary modern amenities for a comfortable stay.
The two cottages share the outdoor area with the main house, which is occupied by the owner and also has an indoor pool for shared use. Active holiday-makers can exercise in the fitness room and then relax in the whirlpool in the green garden. The grill area next to it invites you to enjoy leisurely meals under an open sky. If you arrive by car, you can use the secure parking spaces right in front of the cottages on the enclosed site.
Although the owners in the main house is of course always mindful of your privacy, he is happy to assist with any queries.
The holiday cottages are about 1km from the nearest long sandy beach in Covehurst Bay, which is within easy walking distance, about 15 minutes through a nature reserve area. Right down the road about 100 metres away there is a bus stop with regular connections to the beach and Hastings (about 4.8km). In the centre of Hastings you have a choice of Merry-Old-England leisure options: after a long day on the beach, treat yourself to a portion of freshly caught fish and chips, meet for an afternoon cream tea in one of the quaint cafés or hear about Devon myths in the evening at the pub.
Luxury holiday cottage with indoor heated swimming pool, steam room, gym and outside hot tub. Located in the countryside less than 10 minutes drive from Hastings. Surrounded by a vast beautiful nature reserve, its just a 15 minute walk to the quiet beach of Covehurst Bay. Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of your own self-catering holiday cottage. Located adjacent to the owners home you have full access to their heated indoor swimming pool, gym, outdoor hot tub and gardens to enjoy. The area is officially the sunniest part of the UK, surrounded by green countryside, wildlife, plenty of beaches and all the amazing castles and history from 1066 Battle of Hastings (Norman conquest of England). The area is officially the sunniest part of the UK, and one that is historically very British. Come and explore a fantastic get-a-away! The living room opens onto your private sun terrace, where you can make yourselves comfortable at the table with chairs and enjoy leisurely grill evenings. The cottage consists of a living and dining room with ample daylight and an integrated, open kitchen. Two bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms. The living room provides two comfortable sofas and a matching armchair, a wall-mounted flatscreen TV with satellite channels, a DVD player, a stereo system and a round, wooden dining table with four chairs. An elegant breakfast bar separates the dining space from the modern built-in kitchen in a rustic country style, equipped with the latest appliances including a dishwasher, ceramic hob with an elegant stainless steel cooker hood, an oven, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The master bedroom is furnished with a superking double bed (200 x 200cm). Two single beds (90 x 200cm) are in the other bedroom. The ensuite bathrooms are fitted with a modern bath with an integrated shower cubicle, a washbasin with a wall mirror, a hairdryer and a toilet. There is a highchair for a toddler and a safe for your valuables. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided and the reliable fast wireless Internet connection in the holiday cottage can be used free of charge. The attractions, cafe's and pubs in Hastings will entertain all ages. This beautiful historic town dates back to at least the 8th century, but flint arrowheads & Bronze Age artefacts have also been found from prehistoric settlements. Hastings is one of Britain's oldest fishing ports. Boats have worked from the beach in front of the ancient town for over a thousand years. You can buy freshly caught fish direct from the fishermen's shop. The Old Town is where all the fun happens, located around the fishing port with lots of amusements, tourist attractions, history to explore and the quirky boutique and antique shops in George Street. Otherwise head over to the large Priory Meadow Shopping Centre. Very unique to the area, you can go search the local shoreline cliffs for dinosaur bones and fossils, especially good at Covehurst Bay. Also dotted all around this area of England are amazing castles and all the history from the 1066 Battle of Hastings (Norman conquest of England). Come and explore this fantastic English country get-a-away! If you do not wish to go on holiday without your pet, it is also welcome on request. Dogs can run around freely on the enclosed site.
