Welcome to The Nook Bank Newton, a charming 17th Century Cottage sleeping two guests. The cottage is perfectly placed to explore the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Nook is found in the picturesque hamlet of Bank Newton, within an 20 minutes drive from the villages of Malham, Grassington and Bolton Abbey and it is surrounded by wonderful countryside, canal towpaths, bridle tracks and footpaths, so ideal for a walking and cycling holiday.
The Nook has a superb well-equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven, induction hob, fridge/freezer, and dining area. A lovely spacious sitting room is an area where guests can relax on comfy sofas to read a book or watch the flat screen TV with Freeview. There is also a DVD player and iPod docking station, as well as washing machine and tumble dryer provided.
The marvellous ground floor shower room has underfloor heating. Upstairs there is a twin room with large 1m x 2m single beds, which overlook a private enclosed walled garden and have beautiful south facing views of the surrounding Dales scenery. Enjoy sitting in the garden and viewing the abundance of bird and wildlife.
The medieval Skipton Castle is a popular destination to visit nearby as well as the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway. Neighbouring pretty village – Gargrave, is on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and The Nook sits on the National Cycle Route 68, with the nearest shop and pub within two miles.
Off street parking is provided on the driveway of the cottage. Please note that for last minute winter bookings, this property is equipped with storage heaters and requires at least 24 hours' notice prior to booking to allow sufficient time for the heaters to warm up.
