Six holiday cottages, quietly located in a country estate, ideal for family holidays or a romantic retreat for couples - Winner of the 2017 Swansea Bay Tourism Award The six holiday cottages are situated on a working farm. The farm is tucked away in a valley near a quiet hamlet in South Wales. It is situated at the end of a long private farm lane. The four holiday cottages surround the estate’s square courtyard with several buildings. The farm is situated alongside the picturesque river Clydach that flows through the property’s 100 hectares of private land. Guests can take lovely walks in the private grounds. Take a walk through oak woodland awash with bluebells or enjoy sitting on the lawns inside the courtyard in the shade under the large beech trees while watching the sunset and the sheep grazing. On request, a barbecue can be made available. Each cottage has three parking spaces only a few metres away from the front door. Internet access via W-Lan is free of charge. On request, the landlord is happy to provide you with a free of charge highchair and a baby bed. The landlord has compiled a comprehensive information fiolder on the region and its tourist attractions. A copy of this is placed in each cottage. In your cottage, you will also find a guide book for hiking on the farmland through woodland, fields and hillside areas with views of the idyllic Welsh countryside. Although the property enjoys a secluded and quiet location it is within easy reach of local amenities. A supermarket and a pub with good food are only a few minutes car drive away. It’s a 20 minute drive to the town centre of Swansea. The cottages are also only a quick drive from the main attractions in South Wales, including the famous National Showcaves Centre for Wales, some of the Neath Valley’s most beautiful waterfalls, Brecon Beacons National Park, the cities of Swansea and Cardiff and several castles and museums. The beaches of the Gower peninsula are also within easy reach.

Winning Holiday Cottage with Riverside Terrace, WiFi, 4K HDTV The cottage is located in the farmyard of an old estate, at the end of a long tree lined driveway. Mynydd Marchywel mountain rises to over a thousand feet behind the cottage. The River Clydach flows past the farmyard on its was to the sea in Swansea Bay. The village of Pontardawe is just over a mile away where there is a major 24 hour supermarket, an organic green grocers, an award winning butchers , pubs and restaurants. The guest has access to the entire holiday property as well as 120 acres of beautiful private grounds including a bluebell woodland, mountain river and hillside areas with panoramic views of Swansea Bay, the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Bristol Channel and Devon beyond. Lloc Llo is a modern, cosy and comfortable cottage that enjoys a stunning location alongside the upper reaches of the River Clydach. - Downstairs is open plan. A well equipped kitchen is situated opposite the lounge area which has river views, comfortable seating and a wall mounted HDTV with Freesat. - A door leads from the lounge onto the riverside terrace. A downstairs contemporary wet room boasts a rainforest shower, WC and stand alone marble sink. - Upstairs there is a bathroom and two bedrooms - one with a double bed, one with twin beds. - Lloc Llo is where traditional meets contemporary. Made from local blue pennant sandstone. Heated by biomass. Insulated by sheep's wool. - This cottage is popular with guests who love cottages that are modern and contemporary in design whilst retaining their historic features. There is even an arrow slit in the contemporary wet room! The Swansea Valley is unique in that it is located right at the heart of South Wales' best attractions. Running from the coast to the mountain it is an ideal location to take in the Gower Peninsula beaches, Brecon Beacons National Park and many other attractions such as Waterfall Country, Carreg Cennen Castle, Dan Yr Ogof Showcaves and the city of Swansea itself. This property offers guests the best of both worlds - a spectacular and peaceful natural setting and yet an unbeatable location for accessing the must see attractions of South Wales.
