The Largest Aquarium in Denmark

The heart of the Nordsøen Oceanarium is the giant oceanarium – a 22 x 33 meter, elliptical tank designed specifically for schooling fish. Its 41 cm thick acrylic window easily withstands the immense pressure of 4.5 million liters of seawater – a true technical marvel.

In water up to 8 meters deep, you’ll find extraordinary marine life: from quirky sunfish and elegant sharks to weever fish, flatfish, and thousands of schooling fish.

Daily live feedings in the oceanarium are a true highlight for visitors of all ages.

The Large Sealarium

In the spacious outdoor area, the seal habitat – with its 800,000 liters of seawater – offers fascinating encounters. Two native seal species live here: grey seals and harbor seals. These curious animals glide playfully through the water and can be observed both below and above the surface.

The Seal Tunnel

A real highlight is the seal tunnel, where you can watch the seals up close as they gracefully float past the glass. From the viewing terrace, you’ll also get a full view of the pool and can watch the seals bask in the sun.

Twice daily, you can watch the zookeepers feed and train the seals – don’t miss it!

Outdoor Playground

Let your children run wild in the outdoor play areas.
