Rent Your Next Holiday Home in Beautiful Budapest
Budapest is a fantastic city. There's always something new to discover around each corner, and the old architecture of the city center is lovingly preserved. Plan your next holiday with a holiday home in Budapest.
One of the nicest things about Budapest is that there's an abundance of ways to enjoy yourself without spending a cent. Just using your eyes and legs will give you plenty of options and ways to immerse yourself in an architecturally diverse city, grounded in rich historical and cultural traditions.
Relax by the river and throw stones or watch the sun go by. The Danube River is one of the great arteries of Europe, and the deep blue of the river is just as majestic as that'd imply.
While you can enjoy the beauty of Budapest for free, taking one of the famous riverbus tours costs little more. You can have a unique experience and tour the beautiful riverside on an amphibious bus. You board it on land, and it drives into the water and becomes a boat. The kids are sure to love splashing into the water, and it's a lovely way to get a view of the many attractions that straddle the river.
Budapest, a city so often called the Paris of the East, is a unique city built upon a fusion of influences like no other. Hungary has been settled and conquered by many peoples, and each of them has left a lasting mark on the city. The oldest buildings to be found in Budapest date back to the Roman Empire, at a time when Hungary was a key province that protected Italy from marauding barbarians.
All the way from Roman ruins to Gothic cathedrals, Ottoman mosques, and the great Buda Castle, Budapest is sure to hold your attention with a diversity of style that you've never seen before.
Without even straying from the boundaries of the city, there are ample opportunities to get lost hiking through the Buda Hills or to take some relaxing family time at the lovely, bustling central park. Kids and dogs at play, birds buzzing and old men dueling over the chess board are mainstays of the largest park in the city, and it offers plenty of opportunities for a family to have a good time together.
The miniature hills rolling through the park are ideal for a picnic, and a short walk away will take you to the Szechenyi Baths complex where you can relax afterward. The Szechenyi Baths are a large, thermal bath complex, fueled by one of the many natural hot springs of Hungary. Valued since Roman times, the baths are an excellent place for the family to relax during the day.
