If an active holiday is not in the cards, Costa Brava is still full of activities for the entire family. Spain is steeped in history and culture in a way many parts of the world are not. Some of the ancient castles and palaces have been converted into museums for visitors to explore, like the Archaeological Museum in Banyoles. Spain is also proud of one of its most famous sons: Salvidor Dali. Art museums in the region have extensive collections of his work and are a must-see for any art lover. 

Of course, spending some relaxing days at the beach can also be just what the doctor ordered. Pack a bag and head down to the water to enjoy the day as the waves wash ashore. Read a book; take a nap; or just sit and listen to the sea. The kids can splash and play while you take some time to breathe and be happy.
