Those who climb to the top of the tower at Scaliger Castle in Sirmione will be rewarded with a panoramic view of Lake Garda. This castle dates back to the 13th century. Arco Castle in Arco was built in the 12th century, and frescoes from the 14th century can be seen in the castle's ruins. 

People have been living in the town of Lazise since the 9th century. Two churches in the town date back to medieval times and are open for tours. 

History and scenery are combined on the promontory of Brione. The promontory overlooks Lake Garda and two forts. Porto San Nicolo dates back to the 19th century, and Batteria di Mezzo was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century.
