Holiday apartments in a Tuscan style on a country estate with traditional wine and olive oil cultivation
The villa was built in the mid-16th century as a country manor in a Medicean style and was owned by Florentine families. In the 18th and then at the end of the 19th century, the manor was extended and looked increasingly like a villa. The villa and the annexes are now under heritage protection. The estate currently comprises more than 60 hectares of land, of which 18 hectares are vineyards and 2 hectares are olive groves. The grape varieties include those that are traditional in the Chianti region (Sangiovese, Malvasia, Canaiolo), as well as modern grape vines of French origin (Cabernet, Sauvignon and Syrah).
The villa is also the centre of an agricultural enterprise. The farmhouses that belong to it were completely renovated and newly furnished, to provide visitors with the highest degree of hospitality, in the typical Tuscan tradition. The farm consists of a villa, where the owners live, and the renovated farm houses, which accommodate guests. Central heating and wireless Internet access are available. For groups consisting of eight to ten people, there is also a large communal room.
There is a garden with a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. A parking space is also provided.
Other options include one-day or multi-day cookery courses, guided tours for tasting the products, guided tours through Arezzo, bicycles available to guests, and cycle tours towards Casentino. The chapel of the villa and the roofed terrace can be used for weddings and other festivities.
The proximity to the important art cities (Siena, Firenze, Assisi) and nature reserves (Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi) makes this the ideal starting point for wonderful day trips.
