Your family will love seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa in person. The site is even more impressive when you see just how much the tower leans. A family trip to Tuscany can also include a boat-trip to the Parco Naturale Migliarino San Rossore Massaciuccoli. This nature preserve features incredible wildlife and birdwatching trails. You can tour the area by bike or on horseback. 

During your holiday in Tuscany, consider visiting Lucca. Located to the northeast of Pisa, this unique Italian village continues to be surrounded by ancient walls that date back to the Renaissance. Bike rental outlets have tandems designed for adults and children as well as bike tow trailers and baby seats, making your family bike tour a safe way to see the town. Journey to the Basilica di San Frediano.

Depending on the age of your kids, they may be fascinated to see the mummified body of St Zita, which is enshrined in glass. If your children are too small for a mummified body, be sure to at least show them the pretty golden 13th century mosaic displayed on the façade.
