There are many activities for the entire family to experience, while renting a holiday home in Pistoia. Here are a just a few of the activities for you to experience. 

The Zoo of Pistoia is proud of their conservation and educational focus. They currently house more than four-hundred animals, and they are always expanding. They do not take animals from their natural habitat.

All their animals were either born there or transferred from another zoo. You will find mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates at the zoo. There are many planned activities to enjoy, such as, summer camps, birthday parties, night visits, and close animal encounters. 

Not too far from Pistoia you will find a small town by the name of Collodi. This is where the writer, Carlo Lorenzini, who wrote Pinocchio is from. The Pinnochio Park was created in 1956 and displays all the characters in an outdoor setting, where you can walk and enjoy bronze sculptures, a maze garden, fountains, and many interactive games for the children. There is a café/bar and picnic area to relax and eat lunch. 

Remember to visit the Tuscan Chocolate Valley. Between the cities of Prato, Pistoia, and Pisa you will find some of the best chocolate makers in all of Italy. Roberto Catinari was born in Pistoia and came back as an adult to open his chocolate shop with tasty, homemade chocolates.

Casa DeBondt is another chocolate maker you must not miss, he can be found a few miles from Pisa, in Cascin. There are many other chocolate makers to impress you in the area. It has been said that using the best cocoa beans, cocoa butter, and pure vanilla sugar combined with special recipes is what sets these chocolate makers apart from the rest. 

Held once a year in July, Pistoia hosts a blues, music festival which hosts different bands each and every year. They always post on their events Facebook page what internationally known bands will be playing that season. The festival has been held for thirty-eight years in a row and is still going strong. Each concert will require its own ticket. 

At Fattoria di Celle - The Gori Collection you will enjoy an outdoor/indoor art collection by Giuliano Gori and other international artists. The property is situated on top of a hill that overlooks the central Tuscan plain.

The Celle farm displays over sixty pieces of contemporary pieces of art. Gori envisioned a place where artists could incorporate a permanent space to display their artwork. An appointment must be made by written request in order to view the grounds. The visit will be guided and will include a three to four hour hike.
